Marshall, TX (Fox 51) — East Texas law enforcement officers are investigating a murder after they responded to a 911 call early Friday morning.
According to the Marshall Police Department, at 1:27 a.m., dispatchers received a call about a man inside a house with blood on him, who would not come to the home's door.
When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found a man with a single gunshot wound to his head. He was later identified as David James Cherry, 28. Justice of the Peace Kenneth Alford pronounced him dead at the scene.
