GLADEWATER — The country road leading to Gladewater Memorial Park turned into a hero’s path for U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer Bradley Gaudet.
People who knew him, and many who did not, lined the road with American flags and saluted the fallen soldier.
Gaudet, 31, was killed June 5 in a helicopter crash while serving in Afghanistan.
More than 150 motorcyclists led the way, with fire trucks, police cars and ambulances following, from Gaudet’s funeral service to his burial site.
