Doctors in Michigan used a 3-D printer to help save a baby's life.

Little Kaiba (kai'-buh) Gionfriddo of Ohio has a rare condition that made it hard to breathe.

So, doctors tried a technique that had only been used on animals.

They printed a special splint to help heal his lungs and allow him to breathe.

And now Kaiba is still healthy 15 months after the surgery
