WHITEHOUSE — Whitehouse Police tell KFXK that a stabbing occured just after 10:15 Monday morning in the parking lot of a local business. They say the suspect, a white man, stabbed a woman multiple times with what police are calling an "edged weapon".
Witnesses tell KFXK this stabbing occured in the parking lot of J & M Trophy on Hwy 110 in Whitehouse. There is a sign on their door saying that the business is closed for the remainder of the day.
Police say, after the stabbing, the suspect immediately drove away. He is still at large, although police have been in contact with him several times throughout the day.
Police say, although the suspect is several hours away, they have secured a verbal agreement with the alleged stabber, that he will turn himself in sometime Monday afternoon. Until that time, officials are not releasing his name.
They do have a search warrant out for his vehicle. Charges against the man are pending.
The woman was rushed to a local hospital and immediately put in surgery. Sources close to the family tell KFXK the she is stable, coherent and is responding to family.
Neighbors tell KFXK they are concerned that something like this could happen so close to their home.

Crime scene is taped around the residence and detectives are investigating a Maddox Air Conditioning van parked in the driveway at Rainbow Duplex.
