Tyler, TX (FOX 51) — As temperatures go up people need to drink more water.
Reports say, more Americans are rushed to the emergency room this time of year because of dehydration.
Experts say, our body is needs more than 50 ounces of water a day.
Many people don't pay attention to dehydration signs.
"You feel kind of dizzy and weak, you start getting a headache and during that time you need to drink some fluids," says Vicky Lamay, ETMC Paramedics.
You may feel sluggish, tired and if you're too dehydrated you can faint. You can also suffer more problems like organ failure or even die, and some people just forget to hydrate.
If you're one of those who just can't get into the habit experts have tips for you.
"I mean when you just get up in the morning, a good thing to do is just immediately just drink a glass of water,and since everyone is just out and about just carry a water bottle with you."
