The Lufkin Daily News reports that while only limited information is available, it appears federal agents ran a search warrant Thursday morning on Loper's Pharmacy in Huntington.
Agents from the Drug Enforcement Agency were seen coming in and out of the pharmacy after shutting it down around 9 a.m. Thursday. The Angelina County Sheriff's Office was also on the scene.
A witness sitting at a nearby doctor's office said at first she thought the pharmacy was being robbed.
"Cars just kept pulling up and pulling up. I thought they were getting robbed," Karen Carter said. "Then I saw the DEA and I thought 'uh-oh.'"
A DEA agent said the pharmacy could reopen by noon.
