City to unveil Tyler's first-ever public access alternative fuel station

Tyler, TX Mayor, Barbara Bass and Judge Joel Baker along with a number of other East Texas public officials will be on-site for a ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil Tyler, TX’s first-ever public access alternative fuel station.

This new alternative fueling station will be available for everyday commuters, as well as for a new fleet of advanced MV-1 taxi vehicles in Tyler that feature NexTaxi enablement.

TylerCab passengers are taking a technological and environmental step forward by being able to seamlessly hail and pay a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) powered taxi directly from their smartphone.

Who: First Alternative Fuel, Inc.: Formed in 2011 by President, Jamal Moherer with the vision to provide a sustainable solution to consumers for the transportation industry’s ever-increasing cost of fuel. By using the abundant natural resources of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), First Alternative Fuel, Inc. is bringing sustainable fueling solutions both consumers and businesses.

NexTaxi (a Universal TranWare company): a consumer-facing smartphone app that allows riders to request a legitimate taxi with an on-duty driver – directly from their smartphone, and then track its arrival and pay only the metered fare.
