Tyler, Tx (FOX 51) — The city is seeking input on historic preservation for Tyler.
Residents can provide their input in two ways:
By taking a quick survey on the City of Tyler website by going to www.tyler1st.org.
Or at a public open house from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on May 9 at Gallery Main Street, 119 West Erwin Street.
The purpose of the survey and public open house is to seek input from citizens on the importance and quality of historic preservation. City officials will analyze the input and incorporate the citizens feedback into their decision process during the Tyler 1st Comprehensive Plan update.
Tyler currently has 94 registered local historic landmarks and also has 37 historical subject markers designated from the Texas Historical Commission, 10 recorded Texas Historic Landmakrs and honored 36 half male of history recipients with stones around the square.
