City offices in Longview will be closing for Thanksgiving

The city of Longview offices will be closed on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, in observance of Thanksgiving.

All city offices will resume their regular business hours on Monday, December 2.

The Sanitation Division will not be picking up trash on those days as well.

Due to the large trash collection amounts after the holiday, no yard waste will be collected curbside on Monday, December 2 or Tuesday, December 3.

The Compost Facility will be open on Saturday, November 30.

The Longview Public Library will close at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, and remain closed Thursday and Friday. The Library will resume normal business hours on Saturday, November 30. The book drop will remain open throughout the holiday.

Broughton Recreation Center, Green Street Recreation Center, Paula Martin Jones Recreation Center, and all other Parks buildings will close on on Wednesday, November 27, at 5:00 p.m. and reopen on Monday, December 2.

Longview Transit, the public bus transportation system will end their service at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, and no service will run on Thursday, November 28. Regular transportation service will begin again on Friday, November 29. Longview Transit administrative offices will remain closed until that next Monday.

During the holiday, residents may report a water or sewer emergency by calling 903-236-3030.
