Caldwell Zoo home to quintet of cute!

Tyler, Tx (FOX 51) — The Caldwell Zoo welcomed four new youngsters to its growing family.
Shock and Penny, two capybaras, are now parents to five. On Februrary 27, the parents welcomed their little ones into the world.
According to Caldwell Zoo Spokesperson Scotty Stainback, a baby capybara is born ready to go with eyes wide open and able to follow their mom wherever she goes.
Capybaras originate from Central and South America, and as the world's largest rodents, weigh about 150-175 pounds. They are known to live in densely vegetated areas near water.
The rodent is traditionally a good swimmer with partially webbed feet, and when threatened, swims to safety.
