KILGORE — From Kilgore Police:

The Kilgore Police Department has positively identified five Kilgore High School Students as the parties responsible for vandalizing 39 K.I.S.D school buses.

Each of the buses had the valve stems removed thereby flattening the tires.

Due to the vandalism, a day of school was lost.

The offense occurred during the early morning hours on Friday, April 8, 2011 at the K.I.S.D Bus Barn. K.I.S.D. has established a pecuniary loss in the amount of $3114.35.

A case of Felony Criminal Mischief will be filed directly with the Gregg County District Attorney's Office in regards to each of the five students, forgoing a formal arrest.
