The Museum of East Texas’s 14th annual Art Camp is under way, with plenty of art classes available for children between the ages of 4 and 14, as well as evening adult classes being offered late next month.

“There’s something for any child here, something they’ll all like,” Ann Phifer Reyes, curator of education at the MET said.

There are approximately 280 children signed up for Art Camp, according to Reyes. The museum also offers a scholarship program for the camp, funds for which come from the annual Festival of Trees and private donations. Parents and guardians can ask about scholarships at the time of registration.
