Tuesday, February 22, 2011 - 1:59pm

Grab your boots and get ready to boogie! The Glass Recreation Center, 501 W. 32nd St., is adding line dancing and country-western dance classes to their offerings beginning March 1.

Instructor Michael Martin, better known as “Rockies N Ropers” has more than 25 years of experience teaching all forms of dance. Participants will learn the latest line dances as well as some old favorites.

The country-western dance class will be held on Tuesdays from 8-9 p.m. and line dance lessons will be held on Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Cost is $40 per person for a six-week class or $7 per day.

“Both of these classes will such fun and a great way for people to get some exercise,” said Ann Santana, recreation supervisor. “I’m hoping that everyone will grab their dancing shoes and boot-scoot down to the Glass.”
