Boil advisory for parts of Cherokee County
Jacksonville, Texas (FOX 51) — Due to conditions which have occurred recently in the water system, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has issued a notification al all customers involved in the repair area to boil their water prior to consumption.
This area includes intersections of Farm to Market Road 747 south and County Road 3211, Earles Chapel Road, All the area on Farm to Market Road 747 south and going back north.
County Roads 3206 and 3205 up to the intersection of Farm to Market Road 747 south and County Road 3111 (Antioch Road) continuing south on County Rod 3111 up to County Road 3113 (Summit Drive).
This is to ensure the destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. You may also purchase bottled water or obtain water from another source. Officials will notify you when the water is safe to use again.
