Longview,TX — Three local boat dealers stayed true to their mission in designing the Summer Boat Show that continues through Sunday at Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Center.

There won’t be any white tigers or jewelry, no RVs or four-wheelers, and boat lovers won’t have their view obscured by one of those huge aquariums.

“They want to see boats,” Plano Marine salesman Jeff Gage said. “When they walk in, they are going to see boats. We’re bringing all the top brands under one roof.”

That means Skeeter, Ranger, Tracker, Chaparral and Bennington. It means ski/sport boats, fishing boats and pontoon boats.

Plano Marine, Tracker Boat Center and Nichols Marine are producing the four-day show that opened Thursday evening.

“I dare say we’re going to give you the biggest boat show and display this side of Dallas,” Gage said, estimating 75-100 boats floating on the Maude Cobb ballroom floor.
