Smith County TX — Beer and wine sales are expected to be on the ballot in the 2013 November ballot.

According to Smith County Commissioners Court, they approved the proposal for the ballot earlier today.

The petition for the alcohol sales needed at least 1,835 signatures. Smith County Elections Administrator Karen Nelson says that the petition received 2,206.

Precinct 1 includes part of the Tyler city limits and some of the outside city limits.
