Anderson boy remains in Smith County custody
Charged with delinquent conduct
TYLER - It was a murder that sent shock waves across East Texas.
19-year-old TJC student Amanda Anderson was found dead inside her Chapel Hill home this past September.
Amanda Anderson's 15-year-old brother, Nathaniel, who has been accused of her murder is still in the Smith County Juvenile Center for at least another 10 days after a subsequent detention hearing in Tyler this morning.
Attorneys J. Brett Harrison, Buck Files and Jennifer Deen will be representing the 15-year-old.
Tyler attorney Cynthia Kent has been appointed as the boy's guardian - not in an attorney role - and this is because Anderson's parents are also the parents of Amanda, the victim.
Because Anderson is a juvenile, he's been charged with delinquent conduct.
So far, plans for Nathaniel to be tried as an adult have not yet been sought.
The next hearing in this case is scheduled for December 6th.
