
Kilgore, Tx (Fox 51) — A Kilgore man was charged Wednesday morning with his third DWI after leading local law enforcement on a chase.
At 2:48 a.m., a Kilgore Police Department officer pulled over a vehicle with two alleged drunk passengers. When the officer approached the driver, later identified as Nicholas Scott Cline, 23, of Kilgore, and asked him to step out of the automobile, he sped away.
The officer pursued Cline until he lost control and crashed into a field. The driver was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital and later booked into the Gregg County Jail.
Cline was charged with driving while intoxicated, third offense, evading arrest and possession of marijuana.
