Gladewater police are investigating a fatal crash that may have involved alcohol.

It happened around 1:35 a.m. Monday in the 400 block of North Main Street and Highway 271.

Officials say the driver, Bradley Naismith, 41, was headed southbound on N. Main Street when he lost control taking a curve and ran off the roadway, then hit two power line poles at the intersection of Allison Street. The vehicle continued south, sideswiping a brick retaining wall at Croley Funeral Home and stopped at Gregg Street.

Naismith had died by the time Emergency crews arrived. He was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was seen in the vehicle, but it is unknown if it contributed to the crash.
