After 45 years in education, New Diana superintendent planning to retire

It all started in 1967. Joyce Sloan took her first job teaching a GED program for high school dropouts in Dallas.
Her career just went from there.

Now, the educator who says she stayed in the profession for the past 45 years because she believes children represent the future, is retiring.
