Accused rapist stops for condoms with victim in car
BATON ROUGE, LA — Ralph Yates, 33, is accused of kidnapping a woman and taking her to a gas station, where he bought condoms to rape her.
The victim says Yates was knocking on the door at her home. When she opened it, he allegedly forced her into the bedroom, slapping her while doing so.
Yates is said to have then forced the victim to go with him to a gas station to buy a condom.
He threatened to "break her face" if she attempted to escape or get help, according to the warrant.
Yates is in the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail. He is charged with Forcible Rape, Second-Degree Kidnapping and Aggravated Burglary.
