Tyler, TX — The 2012 Presidential election is still more than a year away.

We here at KFXK wanted to find out if East Texans are already making up their minds on who they want to vote for this early.

Only a few Republican Presidential hopefuls have tossed their name in for consideration.

Political experts say it's very difficult to beat an incumbent President.

But we here at KFXK wanted to get an East Texas take on the 2012 election.

18 months before the 2012 Presidential election...

East Texans are still trying to keep up with all the candidates. For some... it's not necessarily their first priority.

The question remains for many East Texans...with President Obama already campaigning... who exactly is their favorite republican nominee?

Political analysts say it's only a unique group of voter who's politically and financially favorable to a specific candidate.

David Mackert says with many candidates still undeclared... he's having trouble finding a favorite.

But Mackert says even with all the uncertaintly amongst the republicans...

he can already elimate the incumbent... and democratic challenger...

President Obama.
