Tyler, TX — Gregg County Jail records show the murder suspects in a 2005 homicide are being transferred to the Smith County Jail.

The shooter is allegedly 27-year-old Bryante Denard Gee. 24-year-old Terrance Wideman is the suspected driver in the murder.

Tyler investigators have been notified that both Terrance Wideman and Bryante Denard Gee surrendered to authorities in Longview around 2:45 p.m. Monday. Both suspects were due to be transported to Gregg County Jail and await transport to Smith County. Earlier, Tyler Police investigators identified Wideman as the suspect in a recent shooting incident — and named him and Gee as suspects in a 2005 murder.

Wideman, 24, of Jacksonville, was allegedly involved in an incident in which gunfire erupted in the parking lot of Broadway Square Mall on May 11 around 6:46 p.m. That aggravated assault case is still under investigation — and during the course of that probe, detectives were able to secure evidence implicating Wideman as an alleged getaway driver in the homicide of Christopher Horn, 19. Horn was shot in the parking lot of Kureshe’s Mart at 1118 W. Gentry Parkway on Thursday, April 7, 2005, around 10:15 p.m. Horn was transported to East Texas Medical Center where he was pronounced dead from the shooting.

Detectives say they also confirmed that the shooter in the incident was Gee, 27, of Chapel Hill. Arrest warrants were issued for both Wideman and Gee for 1st degree murder. Bond was set at $1,000,000 each by Judge Christi Kennedy.
