“LOL @ at Liberty Hall” this Saturday

Tuesday, August 14, 2012 - 5:26pm

Are you ready for some laughs? Leave the kids at home and come out this Saturday, Aug. 18 at 8 p.m. for some grown up fun. Liberty Hall will present “LOL @ Liberty Hall” featuring three crazy comedians who will make you double over with their stand up fun!

Dominic Harris is a comedian from Dallas and was a finalist in the Improv's Funniest Comic in Texas Contest in 2011. He recently returned from performing at the Montreal Just For Laugh's Festival and is part of the Top 30 YouTube comedy channel “KeepTheHeat”. Their sketches and parodies have more than 260,000,000 views. As far as comedy style is concerned, Dominic takes pride in being a joke-teller and not a story-teller.

Tyler Elliott is tall. Originally from Oklahoma, he has lived in Texas for the last four years. He has performed in such venues as Hyena’s in Dallas, The Dallas Comedy House and Legend’s Bar & Grill in North Tyler. He's been doing stand-up since last August, so a little longer than you. Ok?

Brandon Davidson has been doing stand up for more than 200 days and came in second at the "East Texas Funniest Comic" in the first annual East Texas Comedy Festival. This seasoned pro's material spans from personal subjects to social commentary. His stand-up comedy has been called, "intelligent, dark, honest and super-duper adorable, just like him." His unusual perspective has earned him respect from his peers and high fives from his kids. His eight-year-old daughter writes all of his material, so you know it's rock solid. He has a tattoo of his granddad on his lower back. You could call it a "gramp-stamp," but don’t; he really hates that.

And finally Tyler’s favorite (and only) improv group, “Card 53”. Card 53 is a short form improv comedy troupe that started in 2009 when co-founders Aaron Smith and Jamey Whitley recognized a need for theatre at The University of Texas at Tyler. They started a theatre organization and decided to perform an improv show. They soon added Chris Pelton, R. J. Norman and Brad Johnson and the three man show took off.

Tickets are general admission and on sale now at Libertytyler.com for $10 and at the door for $15. For more information about this show, season tickets or renting the Liberty please call (903)595-7274.
