Toddler killed in Lufkin wreck

Lufkin, TX (FOX 51) — A toddler died after being injured in a wreck near Lufkin over the weekend.
Angelina County DPS officials tell FOX 51, the wreck happened just before 7:00pm on Friday on Hwy 69, just south of Sm Tucker Rd.
Authorities say that Stephen C. Samuel, was driving a passenger car northbound on Hwy. 69 when he turned in front of another vehicle.
The second car, driven by Megan Diane Davison, 25, of Lufkin, was heading southbound on Hwy. 69 and hit the side of Samuel's car as he turned.
Two young children were in Davison's car.
Braylen Davison, 5, and Taylor Davison, 3, were critically injured. Braylen was taken to a Lousiana hospital. Taylor was taken to a Lufkin hospital, but was later flown to a children's hospital in Houston.
Taylor died on just after 8:00 on Sunday.
Samuel and Davison were both taken to a Lufkin hospital.
As of Monday afternoon, their conditions were unknown.
Seatbelts were worn by everyone involved.
