Terror suspect raised no suspicions, no evidence of accomplices
THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS - Dutch prosecutors say they have not found any evidence that a Nigerian man suspected of trying to blow up a U.S.-bound airliner on Christmas Day had accomplices at Amsterdam's airport.
Prosecutors studying more than 200 hours of security camera footage also say that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab appears to have already had explosives with him when he arrived at Schiphol Airport from Lagos, Nigeria.
Prosecutors said in Tuesday's statement that Abdulmutallab underwent a security interview and check before boarding the Northwest Airlines flight to Detroit that he allegedly tried to blow up.
A team of investigators says Abdulmutallab never left the transfer lounge or secure gate area at Schiphol Airport.
