Longview — One person is dead after they wrecked their motorcycle at a Longview intersection Wednesday.

It happened shortly before midnight at the intersection of Ruthlynn Drive and McCann Road.

Officers determined 20-year old Garrett Jordan Robinson, of Longview, was driving his motorcycle at a high rate of speed southbound on McCann Road when he hit a car.

Officials say the car was turning left from McCann onto Ruthlynn when he hit the car driven by 27-year old Amy Beavers of Longview.

Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene by Judge B.H. Jameson.

Beavers was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation, but alcohol may be a factor in the crash.
