Judge Rhita Koches and the four county commissioners met February 28 in regular session with a relatively brief agenda of only 10 items to address. That is a rarity for the twice-monthly business meetings.
Commissioners questioned a payment of approximately $8,000 paid to Cozby-Germany Hospital. County Treasurer Teri Pruitt and Judge Koches will investigate the details of the invoice which was for medical services provided to 18 county inmates over a period of seven months. Inmates are required to reimburse the county for their medical bills as part of their restitution responsibilities.
Other business decisions made by commissioners included:
• Agreement to renew the Memorandum of Understanding documents between Indigent Healthcare Solutions and Van Zandt County.
