Benefit concert for LISD Foundation

Tickets are on sale for “God, Country and Rock-n-Roll: A Celebratory Concert’’ benefitting the Lindale ISD Educational Foundation and presented by RealEdge Real Estate, scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, April 21 in the LISD Performing Arts Center, publicity officials said.

Reserved seats are $20 and can be purchased at the LISD Administration Building, 505 Pierce Street or online at www.lindalefoundation.org.

Proceeds from the concert will fund innovative classroom projects in the Lindale ISD and academic achievement recognition programs.

The concert will include performances by Lindale ISD students, legendary rock-n-roll band The Big Beats and 2012 Olympic performers The Joshua Experience. The Joshua Experience will first perform gospel music followed by a patriotic tribute to the men and women of East Texas who have served in the United States military. Lindale Junior High School and E.J. Moss Intermediate School choir students will join The Joshua Experience in the tribute to the armed forces. The Big Beats will close out the show, joined on stage by Lindale Junior High School theater students.
