Reports on Twitter popped up Monday, saying that John Tyler fooball coach Dereck Rush will be recommended for the head coaching position at Oak Ridge HS in Conroe ISD.
Back in January of 2011, then Tyler ISD Athletic Director Danny Long accepted a position as Conroe ISD's AD.
If reports are true, this would mean a reunion for the two coaches.
A source at TISD tells KFXK that Rush has interviewed at Oak Ridge, but could not confirm if Rush would be recommended.
But the Conroe ISD Board of Trustees are scheduled to consider a new hire Tuesday night at their meeting.
