East Texas native Tyler Morris plays in major poker tournaments every month. Last year, he won $100,000. However, 2014 is proving to be his most successful year yet. Just this weekend, Morris won $369,503.

This amount was the fourth largest Main Event in history. KETK spoke with Morris who said, "It's kind of surreal right now. I'm just shell shocked. Like, I don't even know what's going on". Morris played against 1,428 players for a spot in the World Series of Poker. Morris shared, "I got down there late for the satellite entry. I was the last entry they even let into the satellite tournament, and then got into the main event". This is where he ended up playing poker for the next 54 hours.

As fellow poker players began dropping out one by one, Morris felt confident. Morris said, "There was one guy that had won the main event in Bossier last year that was left, he was pretty solid. But as far as everybody else goes, I had way more experience". This paid off. Jeff Gibralter, the champion from last year, received fifth place and $97,204.

Morris already has big plans for his big win, with a new house and a baby on the way. Of course Morris doesn't plan on stopping with this tournament, "'I'll do it again, I'll do it again".
