I moved to Texas in 1981 and have loved it ever since! The wide open spaces are great and the people are terrific!

I worked as a meteorologist at NBC 5 in Dallas - Ft. Worth for over 20 years and am very familiar with the weather here in the piney woods of East Texas. This new job is a great challenge that I am thoroughly enjoying, especially because of all the great people of East Texas that I have met so far. I am glad that most of you have forgiven me for being born and raised in New Jersey and for going to college in Pennsylvania!

I received my B.S. degree in meteorology from Penn State in 1977. I worked at Accu Weather from 1977-1981 before moving to Texas for the NBC 5 job in 1981. I ran the Weather Watcher program there and had superb training from the man known as "The World's Greatest Weatherman", Mr. Harold Taft. We worked side by side from 1981 until he passed away in September of 1991. Harold was indeed the "Dean" of Texas Weather and I was so honored to work with him for so many years. We developed a close friendship and I miss him dearly to this day.

I have 2 older daughters. Christi, is a sophomore at Texas Tech in Lubbock and Aubrey goes to Lamar High School in Arlington. They are my pride and joy!
